Well, on a serious note, it all depends on what actually you want from the Govt.
People hated Chandrababu Naidu but I cant stop admiring him.. He brought IT to India..
Aajker diner youth would have struggled to get a job sans him.. Atleast, guys today can earn 2 square meals a day and much more..
If not for Pramod Mahajan, cell phones would still have costed a bomb and making a STD call would still be Rs. 50 per min. and not 50 Paise per min. !
Like it, or hate it. You just cant ignore it !
I'll give a good example of how democracy works.
Kerala is famous for strikes, unions and all the wrong things.
In case someone follows the politics, there are 2 major parties there - CPI(M) & Cong.
And the govt. changes every elections. Its more like they form the Govts. alternatively.
Progress is there.
Development is pretty good if not amazingly good.
Literacy will be 100% again in a few years.
Thefts, loots and robbery are minimal.
Corruption is very less in the lower level atleast. (You cant get away with a Rs. 100/200 bribe for traffic violation. There are mobile courts. One needs to go and clear off the charges there.)
Cochin Intl Airport is the 1st PPP airport in the country. It Works !
Oh btw, apart from Bombay & Delhi, it is the only airport to handle the Airbus 380 !!!
It doesnt depend on who serve us.
What matters is what we order !
